حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنِ التَّيْمِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ عُتْبَةَ فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ عُمَرُ ـ رضى الله عنه ـ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ "‏ لاَ يُلْبَسُ الْحَرِيرُ فِي الدُّنْيَا، إِلاَّ لَمْ يُلْبَسْ فِي الآخِرَةِ مِنْهُ ‏"‏‏.‏ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعْتَمِرٌ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُثْمَانَ،، وَأَشَارَ أَبُو عُثْمَانَ، بِإِصْبَعَيْهِ الْمُسَبِّحَةِ وَالْوُسْطَى‏.‏

-... Bize Yahya ibn Saîd el-Kattân, et-Teymî Süleyman ibn Tarhân'dan tahdîs etti ki, Ebû Usmân enNehdî şöyle demiştir: Bizler (Ezrabîcân'da) Utbe ibn Ferkad'ın maiyyetinde idik. Umer (R), kumandan Utbe'ye şunu yazdı: Peygamber (S): "Dünyâda hâlis ipek giyilmez,' giyilirse âhirette ondan birşey giyilmez" buyurdu.Bize babam Süleyman et-Teymî tahdîs etti.
